Instructions

Perform each etude at the marked tempos. You may speed up #1, 2, & 4 as long as you don't make mistakes.
Percussion should choose 2 of the 3 options (Mallets/Marimba, Timpani, Snare Drum).

All excerpts should take about 1 minute to perform. 

Instructions

1. Perform four scales in Bb with pauses inbetween: Major Pentatonic, Minor Pentatonic, Major Blues, and Minor Blues

2. Perform Jazz Etude at 112 bpm or below. Aim for whatever tempo you can play without making mistakes. Pay attention to style and articulations!

3. Perform an improvised solo over a 12 bar Bb blues. The backing recording plays 12 times, but you only need to perform 12 bars. If you're unsure what to do, try playing ideas using the pentatonic scales over the backing track.
